About The Common Cold
Hello! My name is Maurice Tran and I created The Common Cold website. I created this website in order to complete my Biotech Expo project.
I choose the the topic of the common cold because we often connotate it as a 'simple matter' and is generally brushed off. So, I decided to investigate how ‘simple’ the cold actually is.
I discovered that the cold is not as simple as everyone makes it seem to be.
In result, I wanted to create a website that gives the public an in-depth viewing of the common cold. I wanted to educate the public from the transmission of the cold to the macro-effects of the cold.
In addition, I wanted to demonstrate to the public why certain things happen during a cold. Every time a person has a cold they simply need to have a headache and runny nose and they would simply state, “I have a cold.” However, why do we have a runny nose during a cold? Why do we have a headache when we have a cold? I wanted to answer these questions to the public because I feel that by knowing why certain events occuri in a body, a person can effectively manage themselves back to normal health.
I hope that everyone who visits my website can leave it feeling empowered with regards to what happens in their body during a cold. In result, I hope that they will have the knowledge about how to manage a cold with the tips and instructions I gave on my website.
